Immigration authorities were alerted yesterday on possible attempt of road rage suspect Fredison Atienza to leave the country.
Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II issued a memorandum to Bureau of Immigration (BI) Commissioner Jaime Morente to place Atienza in the Immigration Lookout Bulletin Order (ILBO).
In his memorandum, Aguirre said instructed Morente “to include Mr. Atienza in ILBO, disseminate the Information, instruct all immigration officers to be on the lookout/alert for the above-named individual should he pass through the immigration counters in any of our international ports and/or seaports.”
Atienza has been identified as the person who shot and killed IT professional Anthony Mendoza during a traffic altercation that took place at around 3:15 p.m. Saturday at the corner of D. Tuazon St. and Quezon Avenue in Barangay Doña Josefa. (Jeffrey G. Damicog)
