Jeremy Lin has been known to do a lot of things off the court, activities for a cause. The latest one is a partnership with One Day Wages, a move to help raise awareness for girl’s education.
“Millions of girls across the globe are unable to get the education they need to provide for themselves and their families. This is due to unaffordable school fees, forced child marriage, lack of sanitary products when they reach puberty, and many other barriers. My hope is to shed some light on these issues, and invite you to join me in taking action,” Lin wrote on the One Day’s Wages site.
Jeremy Lin plans to donate his March 17 paycheck against the Boston Celtics worth an estimated $30,000. Aside from that, he will donate $100 for every 3-pointer he makes for the remainder of the season, Nets Daily reported.
The target amount is $200,000 with Jeremy Lin and One Day’s Wages reportedly raising a good sum already for the cause. Check out the video below.
