OUTCAST – A gay thief and his young protégé, portrayed by seasoned actor Raymond Francisco and neophyte Ronwaldo Martin in “Boy Intsik.” The outcast characters’ paths cross, starting as competitors and ending up as allies, almost like father and son.
“Bhoy Intsik” is tough gay with a wife who understands his sexual preference and with a Robin Hood-like trait. The young felon is Marlon, good-looking, street-smart, abandoned by his mother at age of eight.
Directed by the esteemed Joel Lamangan, who said there was such a “Bhoy Intsik” gay he used to know in Cavite, tagged as such because he looked like a Chinese. Location was dumpsite near the sea in Cavite city, where Joel grew up, “Alam na alam ko ang lugar.”
Scipt by Ronald Carballo.

CHALLENGE – Raymond – billed RS Francisco years back in the stage play “M. Butterfly” – is also the producer. But when the cameras started to grind, I had to shut off the producer side of me to concentrate on my role, and leave all the production aspect to my director and the team.”
Raymond has good words for Ronwaldo” “Yes, he’s new in the business, but a very professional talent. I felt a screen chemistry with him as co-actors, as far as our roles were concerned—without any malicious angle, even if I’m gay in the story and he’s straight.”
To which Joel agreed. He first saw Ronwaldo in “Pamilya Ordinaryo” and admired his being a natural actor, “May he always remain that way.” Direk noted that some actors develop bad acting habits, especially after attending two or more days of workshop, “Akala nila ang galing-galing na nila.”
Co-starring in “Bhoy Intsik” are Mon Confiado, Shyr Valdez, Elora Espano, Jeric Raval, Mike Loren, Jim Pebanco, Liz Alindogan, Ahwel Paz, and Tony Mabesa.
