The NU Lady Bulldogs streaked to their third straight win by downing Discovery Sports, 49-46, through the heroics of Gemma Miranda and Daniel Animan.
Bidding to extend their UAAP reign to four years, the Lady Bulldogs earlier beat Air Force and Far Eastern University-Multimotors in the tournament presented by Rexona and organized by PCABL.
In a follow up to their earlier wins over University of the Philippines and Centro Escolar University, the Lady Warriors proved too classy for the Lady Tamaraws, 72-55.
Janine Pontejos and Eunice Chan led the Lady Warriors with 14 points each.
Adamson-Mighty Sports and Air Force improved their records to 2-1 by scoring contrasting wins over their respective rivals.
Led by Cindy Resultay and Anna Buendia, the Lady Troopers outsteadied the Lady Maroons, 56-48, while the Lady Falcons drew double figures from four of their players to trounce the CEU Lady Scoprions, 80-66.
Mentored by Mike Fermin, Adamson got 20 points from Nathalia Prado and 16 from Kyle Pingol.
