Just one month after her reign, former Miss Universe Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach is ecstatic these days when her number of followers on Instagram reached four million.
“I don’t remember why I was so happy in this photo but I do know why I’m happy now. Four million strong and counting!
Maraming salamat po,” said Wurtzbach as she captioned her uploaded photo on IG.
With this social media milestone, Wurtzbach has surpassed some of the most-followed celebrities on Instagram in the country.
Some of these celebrities are Nadine Lustre (3.5 million), Kim Chiu (3.3 million), Julia Barretto (3.3 million), James Reid (3.1 million), Janella Salvador (2.9 million), Maine Mendoza (2.6 million), Alden Richards (2.3 million) and Enrique Gil (2.2 million).
Anne Curtis-Smith is still the most-followed local celebrity on Instagram with 6.6 million. Other celebrities in the same league are Liza Soberano (5 million), Kathryn Bernardo (4.8 million), and Vice Ganda (4.4 million).
Wurtzbach, 27, is also busy these days for her endorsements and as one of the judges for “Asia’s Next Top Model” cycle 5 which is being taped in Singapore.
“Catch the season premiere of @asntm on April 5 as I judge to find Asia’s Next Top Model,” said Wurtzbach on Instagram.
The Filipino-German beauty queen will have recurring appearances on several episodes.
Wurtzbach also trained some of the candidates for the 2017 Binibining Pilipinas beauty pageant for the question-and-answer round recently.
The third Miss Universe from the Philippines will also be based in New York after she signed up for the IMG Models talent agency. She is in a relationship these days with Filipino-Swiss F1 driver Marlon Stockinger.
