Ty Lawson has been quietly performing for the Sacramento Kings at the moment. That, however, does not exclude him from some extra-curricular activities.
For those unaware, the NBA guard is still on probation in connection with his 2015 drunk driving case in Denver. And now the word out is that the 29-year-old guard may have violated his probation and the Denver Probation department is reportedly seeking a warrant according to TMZ Sports.
Denver officials have yet to reveal what violation Lawson committed. A bench warrant has been requested in order for them to drag Lawson to court for a hearing on the matter. No warrant has been signed as of this writing.
Ty Lawson’s probation would have ended on March 22. Among the requirements included monitored sobriety, 48 hours of community service, 52 hours of therapy and no marijuana.
With the Kings, Lawson holds averages of 9.3 points and 4.6 assists, a far cry from the ones he put up when he was still with the Denver Nuggets. Lawson signed a non-guaranteed with the Kings following failed stints with the Houston Rockets and the Indiana Pacers, the Sacramento Bee reported.
