President Duterte has laid down the mission of the Philippine Military Academy Class of 2017 dominated by women:
Defend the country with honor and might and stay loyal to the Constitution at all times.
The President attended the PMA graduation ceremony in Baguio City and urged the new military officers to shun corruption and injustice as they start to serve the Filipino nation.
“To the Salaknib Class of 2017, may you always stay true to your class name and defend the motherland with your honor and might. I have no doubt that you will do this because you are the cream of the crop,” Duterte said in his prepared address.
“Just be true to your oath of office. Do not pledge loyalty to a person, a human being. It’s always to the flag and to the Constitution. Iyan ang advice ko sa inyo,” he added. (Genalyn D. Kabiling)
