“Tawag ng Tanghalan” grand champion Noven Belleza of Negros Occidental has said that his father always reminds him to sing from the heart to be an effective singer.
“Everytime na kakanta ako sa entablado, kung ano po ‘yung meaning ng kinakanta mo, ilabas mo po ‘yun sa expression,” said Belleza, when asked about the winning tip his father shared him, during an interview on “Tonight With Boy Abunda” on ABS-CBN.
Belleza said that he has been a contestant in many singing contests in the province and won. He added that his father and grandparents have also joined singing competitions in the past.
The farmer recalled his journey to the popular talent competition on the popular noontime program “It’s Showtime” on ABS-CBN which staged the finals of the singing contest last March 11.
He finally went to Manila with his father for the singing contest. And he sang “Lean On Me” for his first contest piece.
Belleza also said that he is in a relationship these days although he refused to identify his girlfriend.
“Nagkakilala po kami sa isang bakery. Pag-off season sa tubuhan, close ’yung factory ng asukal, kaya naisipan kong lumuwas ng city para magtrabaho. Bale extra;
He also said that he was starstruck with Billy Crawford and Anne Curtis-Smith the first time he arrived at ABS-CBN.
