Calls from martial arts enthusiasts have flooded the Philippine Taekwondo Association (PTA) office as the opening of the two-month 2017 SMART/MVP Sports Foundation Taekwondo Summer Program nears.
Supported by PLDT, Meralco, TV5, Philippine Olympic Committee, Philippine Sports Commission and Milo, the summer event will kick off on March 27 and end in the first week of June.
The much-awaited program will be conducted in all PTA branches in Metro Manila, regions 1 to 12, CAR, ARMM, CARAGA, PNPA and AFP.

In addition to the training, students will also be taught by instructors or coaches the “tenets” of taekwondo, namely, courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control and indomitable spirit which they can apply not only in gyms but also in their daily lives.
The PTA is affiliated with the World Taekwondo Federation and the Philippine Olympic Committee and recognized by the Philippine Sports Commission.
