CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO) conducted unannounced mandatory drug tests to all Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel of the city during the Saturday Rank Inspection in March 18 held at Pelaez Sport Center.
According to P/CInsp. Charity Caseres, Regional Crime Laboratory Office (RCLO) Region 10 action officer, a total of 832 personnel submitted their urine specimen all yielded with negative results after the PNP crime laboratory finished their examination afternoon of March 23.
While more than 200 personnel were not able to undergo the said drug tests since they were on their duty.
COCPO acting city director PSSupt Robert Roy Bahian said this is in compliance with the directive of PNP chief PDG Ronald Dela Rosa to cleanse the rank from officers down to the lowest rank as part of the PNP internal cleansing strategy of the organization.
