A weakening northeast monsoon or amihan will still affect extreme Northern Luzon, while the warm and humid easterly winds will prevail over the eastern side of the country this Sunday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
It pointed out that partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will be experienced over Batanes and Calayan group of islands due to the amihan, while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
By Monday until Friday, PAGASA said easterlies will prevail across the country as the ridge of high pressure area will prevail over the central part of the northwest Pacific Ocean.
It added that partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains and isolated thunderstorms will be experienced in extreme Northern Luzon.
Likewise, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light to occasional moderate rain showers and thunderstorms will be experienced in the eastern section of the country.
