The Makati City government has awarded P100,000 cash gift and a plaque of recognition to the city’s two lady centenarian residents as tribute to their significant contributions to the development of Makati.
They are Alejandro Trinidad de Castro of Brgy. San Lorenzo who turned 100 last February 27; and Magdalena Oribello Ollero of Brgy. Cembo who turned 100 on December 16 last year.
De Castro, a native of Iba, Zambales, finished Banking and Finance at Far Eastern University. He worked in a number of banks before joining Manila Stock Exchange.
Ollero has 11 children with her husband, a World War II guerrilla, and now has several grandchildren and great grandchildren. (Anna Liza Villas-Alavaren)
