Netizens expressed different reactions over reports that the biological father of the twins of model Kit Barraquias is Swiss-Filipino F1 driver Marlon Stockinger, current boyfriend of 2015 Miss Universe Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach.
Wurtzbach and Stockinger have not released any statement in reaction to the claim of Barraquias which came out on news websites last Thursday.
Initially, netizens were surprised when Stockinger and Wurtzbach reportedly unfollowed each other on Instagram. A check on their respective social media accounts later showed that both personalities were still following each other as of March 31.
Fans gave mixed reactions on the fatherhood issue.
“Pia, you have our support. Sayo kami papanig kahit anong mangyari. Naloka ako sa news. Kung saan ka masaya dun kami susuporta,” a netizen said.
“Inanakan binuntisan si Kit tapos wala man lang financial support? Napaka iresponsable naman ng marlon mo @piawurtzbach siguro accepted pa iniwanan niya mga bata dahil bata pa siya noon pero ngayon na matanda na hindi parin inaasikaso mga anak lol. Akala ko perfect na siya for you. Wala ngang taong perfect,” a follower reacted.
“Nashock din ako sa nabalitaan ko, Basta whatever decision you have in mind @piawurtzbach, we are here for you. Have faith and always pray. Matatapos din to. Love you queen P,” another fan said.
“So ayun nakita ko ang balita, ikaw pia matalino ka alam mo pano paganahin ang utak mo at ang puso mo, iwan mo ma si Marlon, hindi ka kawala dahil million na tayo ang nagkakagusto sayo merun dyan mayaman at mabait. Hindi mo alam makati pala sya , wala naman pala syang pera na binibigay sa kambal nya, pano pag ikaw pa kaya? . Yun lang i still love and support you! #missuniverse ka tandaan mo :)” said a follower on social media.
Barraquias, also a fitness enthusiast, confirmed the report to PEP in an exclusive interview in Makati City last March 29.
“We had twins. He’s the biological dad. I don’t wanna say he’s the dad… just the biological dad. And that’s it. We haven’t had any communication. He hasn’t seen the girls ever,” the model said.
It was early March when reports about Stockinger having two children first came out.
“Are you sure it’s the same Marlon? I don’t know anything about that. With these things, people would have to be very careful what they say also because if it turns out to be not true, then the credibility of the media could be (affected). We just have to check the facts first,” said Wurtzbach then during an interview on “Tonight With Boy Abunda” on ABS-CBN.
