Police arrested a 53-year old South Korean, who has been long wanted in his country for a case of sexual abuse, following a raid in his house in Quezon City.
Director Roel Obusan, head of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), said the operation against Seo Inho stemmed from a complaint from the South Korean complaint desk about his whereabouts.
“He is included in the Interpol Red Notice stating that he was charged and found guilty for sexual abuse and maltreatment,” said Obusan.
Based on the court decision, Seo was sentenced to two years and six months imprisonment.
The operation, he said, was carried out at around 3 p.m. on Tuesday at the Capitol Estate 1 in Quezon City.
“He has been hiding in the county for eight years now. But he’s on the list of the Bureau of Immigration as undesirable alien,” said Obusan.
The Immigration department, on the other hand, has already issued a deportation order against Seo who is currently detained at the CIDG headquarters at Camp Crame. (AARON B. RECUENCO)
