Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff Gen. Eduardo Año has ordered the deployment of more troops to seven islands and two shoals of the Philippines in the South China Sea following President Duterte’s order to occupy them and put structures and place the Philippine flag there.
“That’s an order from the President and I intend to carry that out. That’s ours as per Arbitration Ruling so we don’t see any problem,” Año said. (Francis T. Wakefield)
