Filipino-American actor Matt Evans has said that he appreciates his mother and his family more these days with the help of his afternoon teleserye “The Greatest Love” aired weekdays on ABS-CBN.
Lahat nung mga hirap n’ya nung dalaga pa sya, hanggang pinanganak kami, nakilala n’ya mga daddy namin, kasi iba-iba yung mga daddy namin, lahat yun sinasabi sa akin ng mommy ko,” said Evans during an interview on “Tonight With Boy Abunda” on ABS-CBN.
Evans said that there was a time he was ashamed of the mess he was involved with his mother.
Mas more on barkada. Lumaki po kasi ako sa mga lolo’t lola ko,” the actor said.
Evans also said that he appreciates his family and wife more these days.
Iba rin dapat ‘yung oras na binibigay mo sa anak mo,” he said.
Evans, 30, said that he brings his family to tapings if he has an early call time.
“Halos sinasama ko sila. Everytime na may taping kami, kapag maaga ang call time ko, pinapasunod ko sila,” the actor added.
Evans considered playing gay in the teleserye as very challenging.
During the fast talk portion of the program, Evans called his wife Katrina Farinas his greatest love. They have three children.
The actor also regretted the time when he was jailed following an altercation with his former live-in partner and her brother in 2012.
Evans became popular when he joined “Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition 1” in 2006. He added that he would love to play again the role of the popular comic book character “Pedro Penduko.”
