Sorry Sharon Cuneta-Gabby Concepcion fans!
Their reunion movie will not happen this year, according to Cuneta who apologized to her fans on Facebook.
“Thanks for all your prayers and I am sorry it’s not pushing through,” Cuneta, 51, wrote.
But the megastar said that she is excited for a new movie project under Star Cinema.
“But please be happy for me – – because I am very happy with my new project which Star Cinema is now preparing! God bless us all. Good night and love you guys!,” she added.
Recently, Cuneta also issued a statement to Mario Dumawal of ABS-CBN about the reunion film with her former husband.
“Gabby Concepcion has always wanted to do a movie with Sharon Cuneta. However due to his tight schedule and current commitments it will not be possible anytime soon. We will study our option in 2018,” the statement read.
In December 2016, Star Cinema announced that Cuneta and Concepcion were doing a movie together.
Few months later, Cuneta could not give a direct answer if the planned movie would still push through.
Observers believe that Concepcion would not commit to the reunion movie because he is also busy with his popular afternoon teleserye “Ika-6 Na Utos” on GMA 7.
The still untitled reunion project was supposed to start shooting in January and a tentative showing month in May.
