DOHA, Qatar – President Duterte is expected to forge closer cooperation between the Philippines and Qatar in the areas of politico-security, healthcare, and trade and investments during his visit this week.
The President is scheduled to arrive in Doha, Qatar on Friday night, April 14, for a three-day visit, the third and final stop of his journey in the Middle East.
Duterte’s historic visit to Qatar includes meetings with Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the local businessmen, and the Filipino community.
Before flying to Qatar, Duterte visited Bahrain and Saudi Arabia where he sought to improve the country’s economic and security relations as well as champion the rights and welfare of the Filipino workers. (Genalyn Kabiling)
