Actress Carmi Martin has said that she is happy and contented with her life now despite having no partner.
Martin, 53, also said that she is not bent on looking for a better half these days.
“Actually noon ang view ko sa buhay ko is hinahanap ko ’yung makakabuo sa akin. Pero mali pala,” said Martin during an interview on “Tonight With Boy Abunda” on ABS-CBN.
“So right now, ang feeling ko naman nabuo na ako. Pero ayoko ng maghanap kung sino man sya. Buo na ako ngayon,” she said.
“Hindi ko na hinahanap eh. I’m really happy sa stage ng buhay ko right now,” she added.
Martin said that she loves the company of her dogs.
In May 2016, Martin told an interview on GMA 7 that men have courted her in the past.
“Meron naman, at saka maganda naman ang plano, pero parang wala namang ano sa akin. I’m so happy with my relationship with God,” she said.
Asked if she wanted to be single for life, Martin said: “Well, ’yun ang plan ko, pero hindi mo… baka sabihin niyo, ‘Ang plastic talaga nitong si Carmi, biglang nag-asawa.’ Pero wala na ako dun sa magpapakasal, I prayed for it… remove the desire;”
“Because, before, ang mentality ko, man will make me happy, being married will make me happy;”
“Pero sa nakita ko sa karamihan, sa mga naririnig kong istorya at sa mga na-witness ko in my own relationship, it seems that very few percentage of the population of the whole earth ang nagwu-work [ang relationship],” said Martin, who can be seen in the afternoon Kapamilya drama “The Better Half.”
Martin also said that she is very happy for couples who have successful marriage.
“And ako, I’m very happy for those couple. Oo, I’m happy for them, pero ’yung inspired or naiinggit or what, parang nalagpasan ko na. Dahil alam ko, ako,” natawa niyang sabi, ‘may mga gusto sa aking magpakasal, but hindi ko gusto, e,'” she added.
