The entire country will continue to experience warm weather this week due to a high pressure area and the easterly winds.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration, the ridge or extension of the HPA is extending across Luzon and Visayas while the warm and humid easterly winds coming from the Pacific Ocean is affecting the eastern section of Mindanao.
It said partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will be experienced over Metro Manila and the rest of the country today.
It noted that cloudy skies in the morning becoming cloudy in the afternoon or evening will prevail over the entire country this week.
However, there will be isolated rain showers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening due to the prevailing ridge of high pressure area and easterly winds.
By Tuesday or Wednesday, a low pressure area will likely develop east of Mindanao. PAGASA said the LPA could further develop into a tropical depression and enter the country’s area of responsibility.
But so far, PAGASA said the weather disturbance will not affect the country during the forecast period.
