Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales has reminded all government officials and employees to be truthful in accomplishing their Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth for the year 2016.
The deadline for filing of the SALN is today.
The anti-graft czar made the advice following reports of many violations concerning the filing of SALN.
The annual filing of the document is mandatory for all government officials and employees, including those working in government-owned and – controlled corporations.
The 1987 Constitution requires the filing of SALNs within 30 days after assumption of office, on or before April 30 of every year thereafter, and within 30 days after separation from the service. (Jun Ramirez)
