Juvic Pagunsan endured a rough start before salvaging an even-par 70 yesterday but dropped five shots off the pace halfway into The Crowns golf tournament at the Nagoya Golf Club Wago Course in Japan.
Pagunsan’s four birdies were negated by four bogeys, including the two in the first four holes that put to waste his 5-under-par 65 showing in the opening round on Thursday.
Thus Pagunsan fell from a share of third to a three-way tie for ninth with a two-day aggregate of 135, trailing the 130 of leader Shugo Imahira.
Angelo Que had a better round than his compatriot after carding a two-under 68 to join 10 others at 31st place at 140. Que had four birdies, including the first hole, though his two bogeys came at the 15th and 17th holes.
