Governor Miguel Luis “Migz” Villafuerte of Camarines Sur has said that it would be up to his girlfriend newly crowned Bb. Pilipinas Universe Rachel Peters how they will celebrate her victory.
“I plan on asking her and following her because right now this is her moment. Whatever ways she wants to celebrate it, I will follow just like a servant-boyfriend,” said Villafuerte during an exclusive interview at the Smart Araneta Coliseum last Monday.
Villafuerte, who is also a model, said that he and Peters have been in a relationship for three years now.
“Bago pa s’ya maging beauty queen were boyfriend-girlfriend na,” said the 28-year-old politician.
Villafuerte said that he has been supportive of Peters when she first competed at the 2014 Miss World Philippines beauty pageant in which she was named 4th Princess.
“Very supportive naman ako sa kanya. Tumutulong ako kung saan pwede,” he said.
A check on Instagram accounts of Peters and Villafuerte showed that they both love travelling and going to the beach.
Peters, 25, also adores dogs as most of her posts on social media show her posing with various breeds of her favorite pet.
In March, the new beauty queen even posted on social media how sad she was about her late dog.
Some netizens likened Peters to Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach who also adores dogs.
On several occasions, Peters would accompany Villafuerte to his important meetings in Camarines Sur.
The 5’9 Bicolana also hinted on Instagram about a future project in Siargao.
“Can’t wait to share a project we’ve been working on with all of you – watch out for Hideout, Siargao,” said Peters on IG recently.
Villafuerte also said that she is hopeful on his girlfriend as the next Miss Universe from the Philippines.
Asked about her winning qualities, Villafuerte said: “I think she’s a total package – beauty, brains, the body. Sa tingin ko sa tulong ng buong Pilipinas, ang Miss Universe kaya natin yan.”
At 24, Villafuerte was elected governor of CamSur when he defeated his grandfather Luis in the 2013 polls.
He now holds the record for the youngest governor-elect in the Philippines, surpassing Mark Lapid.
In 2016, Migz was reelected governor while his father Luis Raymund “LRay” Villafuerte won as CamSur 2nd district congressman. His paternal grandmother Nelly Favis Villafuerte is a former member of the Monetary Board.
