Pocari Sweat bombarded Perlas Spikers with hard-hitting aces as the Lady Warriors dominated with a 25-19, 25-19, 25-19 victory yesterday in the Premier Volleyball League women’s tournament at The Arena in San Juan City.
The Lady Warriors fired 11 service aces, three coming from setter Gyzelle Sy, to fuel their second straight triumph after back-to-back losses.
Myla Pablo pumped in 13 points including 11 kills for Pocari, even as Elaine Kasilag also pounced on with 11 attacks to finish with 12 points.
“Nag-focus lang kami sa service-receive namin kasi yun yung naging weakness namin dun sa mga talo namin,” said Kasilag.
The Lady Warriors leaned on their 13-9 lead in the third with crosscourt hits from Kasilag and never looked back.
The Perlas Spikers fell into errors including a spike from Dzi Gervacio that sealed Pocari’s victory.
