GMA-7 news reporter Steve Dailisan lost more than P220, 000 worth of valuables, including a laptop, to thieves while his sports utility service vehicle (SUV) was parked in front of a hospital in Quezon City, Saturday night.
Police Supt. Pedro T. Sanchez, Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Kamuning Police Station 10 (PS-10) commander, said the incident took place around 9:45 p.m., Saturday, in front of Delgado Hospital on Kamuning Road in Barangay Kamuning, Quezon City.
Among the items stolen include an Apple Macbook Pro with charger (GMA property) worth P175, 000, a powerbank (GMA property), Treat keyboard, cash amounting to P8, 000, Apple I-touch worth P12, 000, flash drive, Globe pocket wifi and a gym bag containing a Kenneth Cole watch worth P12,000, Lacoste watch worth P17, 000, and assorted accessories and clothes.
Sachez said based on their initial investigation, Dailisan, 32, parked his 2014 black Mitsubishi Montero Sports service vehicle with plate number AAN 6337 in front of Delgado Hospital at about 9 p.m. Saturday to visit the mother of his friend.
Several minutes later, the hospital’s guard on duty nformed Dailisan about the theft incident.
Dailisan immediately checked his vehicle and later saw that the rear passenger side glass window of his vehicle already destroyed.
Upon checking the inside of the vehicle, he discovered his personal valuables already missing.
A witness who saw the incident told police that after taking the loot, two suspects escaped on board a black motorcycle towards Tomas Morato going to Quezon Avenue.
An investigation on the incident is still ongoing, according to police. (Francis T. Wakefield)
