One of the last two fleeing Abu Sayyaf Group fighters was killed in a clash with the police and military in Panggangan, Bohol yesterday afternoon.
Chief Supt. Noli Talino, director of the Central Visayas police, said residents of Barangay Cahayag spotted them and reported their presence to authorities.
The suspects fled and abducted a resident on their way out. A team was sent and caught up with the suspects who left the resident along the way.
A gunfight erupted and one of them was killed while the other managed to escape.
