Three Caloocan business executives are facing tax evasion charges for their alleged refusal to settle income and business tax debts totaling to more than P122 million.
This brought to 27 the number of Run-After-Tax-Evaders (RATE) cases filed by Commissioner Caesar R. Dulay since he assumed the post last year.
The respondents were identified in separate complaints filed yesterday before the Department of Justice as Marilyn San Luis, proprietor of Aerostar Industrial Supply of Mabalacat St.; Arlyn Mazo , managing director of Chonta Industrial Packaging (CIPI), of Tala and Manuel Jamera, president of Well-Pack Container Corporation (WCP) of Kaybiga all located in Caloocan City.
CIPI and WCP are into manufacturing of various kinds of packaging items and were assessed to owe the government P61 million and P56 million, respectively. (Jun Ramirez)
