Three suspected drug dealers were killed when they engaged policemen in gunfights in separate anti-drug operations in Manila Wednesday night and early yesterday morning.
Suspects John Llaban, 45, and Junjun Abalos, 44, succumbed to gunshot wounds while being rushed to Justice Jose Abad Santos Hospital, police said.
Initial investigation showed that Llaban and Abalos allegedly sold R500 worth of shabu to an undercover policeman of Sta. Cruz Police Station on Oscaris Street in Quiapo district at around 2:45 p.m..
The suspects, however, sensed the drug sting, prompting them to pull out their .38-caliber revolvers and fire shots at the lawmen. The cops retaliated, hitting the duo.
Police recovered from the slain suspects five sachets of suspected shabu and their guns.
Yesterday, around 1:20 a.m., Sigue-Sigue Sputnik gang member Reynaldo Javier, 34, was also killed when he shot it out with operatives of Sta. Ana Police Station inside his house on Pasig Line Street, Sta. Ana.
Police reported that Javier drew a .38-caliber revolver and shot the lawmen during the drug bust. The cops fired back, killing him on site.
Police recovered from Javier six sachets of shabu, bullets, the P300 marked money used in the entrapment, and several drug paraphernalia.
