Kaya-Makati and JPV-Marikina seek to rebound from losing their previous outings while Stallion-Laguna and Ilocos United eye their first victory today in a pair of Philippines Football League matches held simultaneously in different venues.
JPV hosts Kaya at Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila while Stallion plays its straight home match, this time against Ilocos United at the Binan Football Stadium in Biñan, Laguna. Kickoff for both games is set at 4 p.m.
Kaya is coming off a 3-1 defeat to Global-Cebu at the Rizal Memorial for its first defeat in three matches, while JPV was handed a 1-0 loss by unbeaten leader Meralco-Manila exactly a week ago in Biñan.
Kaya is in third place with four points while JPV, which is playing home matches in different venues as the Marikina Sports Complex has yet to be completely refurbished, is in third at three points.
Expected to lead Kaya are Jordan Mintah, Robert Lopez Mendy and Miguel Tanton while JPV has the Japanese duo of Takashi Odawara and Takumi Uesato.
Meanwhile, Stallion and Ilocos have to yet to score a victory after two matches in the new league.
But Stallion is on a high after holding Global to a 1-all tie last Sunday at home. Matthew Nierras last-gasp equalizer enabled the pink-colored side to avoid defeat.
