Actor Richard Gutierrez is now a Kapamilya.
This after Gutierrez, 33, signed an exclusive contract with ABS CBN yesterday.
“I’m very happy and excited to be here finally. I’m very thankful to ABS-CBN for this opportunity and for the trust.
Ang sarap ng pakiramdam na nandito ako ngayon. I consider this a new journey and a new chapter, parang nagsisimula ako ulit,” Gutierrez told ABS CBN and members of the media after he inked the contract.
Earlier, Gutierrez was cast as one of the stars in a still untitled film with Angel Locsin and Angelica Panganiban under Star Cinema.
It was also announced that the actor will appear on the new primetime teleserye “La Luna Sangre” top billed Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo.
Sarah Lahbati, partner of Gutierrez, has already moved to ABS CBN. She is rumored to play Valentina, the villain in the new film version of “Darna” to be played by teen star Liza Soberano.
Members of the actor’s family have been part of the Kapamilya network on several projects recently.
His father actor Eddie Gutierrez has been cast in the hit primetime series “Ang Probinsyano.”
On the other hand, his mother Anabelle Rama and sister Ruffa Gutierez have written books published by ABS CBN Publishing.
Richard has been pat of GMA 7 for many years before he transferred to another networks.
In 2013, Richard left the Kapuso network after his last television series “Love and Lies.”
A year later, Richard and his family appeared on a television reality series entitled “It Takes Gutz To Be A Gutierrez” which was shown not only in Asia but in other parts of the world.
In 2016, Richard appeared on “Carlo J. Caparas Ang Panday” on TV 5.
