Juvic Pagunsan closed out with a 71 yesterday to take fourth place in the $500,000 Queen’s Cup tournament at the Santiburi Samui Country Club in Koh Samui, Thailand.
Pagunsan made three birdies against a lone bogey in the first eight holes to surge into contention, but was undone by a double bogey on the ninth hole.
Although he started the backnine with a birdie, Pagunsan slowed down with eight straight pars to finish the event at 11-under, four shots behind Malaysian Nicholas Fung who sizzled with a 67.
Thai Jazz JaneWattanananond finished a stroke behind Fung following an impeccable 66.
Third place went to Hung Chien-Yao of Chinese-Taipei who turned in a 67 for 13-under.
Angelo Que settled for even par 71 to share sixth spot at 9-under while Antonio Lascuña wound up in joint 48th after a 70 and 4-over total.
