Jayson Castro dished off import-like numbers in a game TNT KaTropa treated like a do-or-die match to beat crowd-favorite Ginebra and seal a dream title duel with San Miguel Beer in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
With bulky TNT import Joshua Smith playing hurt due to a torn ligament on his right foot, the 5-foot-8 Castro took charge on Saturday, firing 38 points on top of 11 assists and 7 rebounds to eliminate Ginebra, 122-109.
The performance also earned for the “Blur” another PBA Press Corps Player of the Week award.
