LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte – The Air Materiel Wing Savings and Loan Association Inc. recently provided financial assistance to families of soldiers and policemen killed in the ongoing fighting in Marawi City.
Retired Col. Ricardo L. Nolasco Jr., AMWSLAI president and chairman and the owner of the Hannah’s Beach Resort and Convention Center in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte, said that it is the mandate of their company to help the families and dependents of fallen soldiers and policemen in Marawi.
Nolasco handed over cash assistance to Carmi Anno, wife of Corporal Elmer Anno, 32, of Barangay Rubio, Galimuyod, Ilocos Sur, one of the soldiers killed in Marawi last May 23, here recently.
Mrs. Anno received P30,000 from AWMSLAI and P30,000 from Hannah’s Beach Resort. She was the sixth recipient of cash assistance for fallen troops in Marawi from AMWSLAI and Hannah’s Beach Resort.
The first five recipients received cash assistance during the 61st foundation anniversary of AMWSLAI last June 13 in Manila.
The AMWSLAI also turned over P500,000 to the Armed Forces of the Philippines for dependents of fallen soldiers in Marawi.
