Hi Ma’am Rica,
Can you help me please? I’ve been wanting to buy a vibrator but I’m afraid that my parents would find out. Nahihiya ako na bumili. But I really want one because I am curious po on how it works and how I can use it. Is it safe? Or should I just let it go? Sorry, nakakahiya po magtanong! Hihi.
Thank you,
V
Hi V,
Kamusta ka? First off, hindi nakakahiya magtanong! I actually admire your courage to be open about your health and sexuality! I am taking it that you’re young and you still live with your parents, am I right? Well, you’re not alone!
A lot of people get nervous when walking into sex shop, lalo na kung hindi ka pa nakakapasok sa isa before. It’s a normal feeling, and that’s okay.
Maybe it could help if you do a little homework before going in and buying your first ever vibrator! That way, you’ll feel more confident stepping into the store.
Check online pleasure shops on the toys that they have. Consider what features you want to have when you get that toy by asking these questions:
1) What will you stimulate it with?
2) Do you want something you can insert?
3) How intense do you want the vibrations?
4) Do you have a specific texture, shape, and even color in mind?
5) How much is your budget?
Visit a local toy shop near you. Usually, shops have friendly salespersons, so you may ask them different questions, kung gusto mo makisigurado.
Ask them about the noise levels of the toy, kasi baka magtaka ang parents na may constant buzzing sound when you use it at night. If your product has a constant buzz, you can muffle the noise by using it under a blanket or a pillow!
You may also check out how discreet the toy is. May mga vibrator na bright and not as discreet as others that appear as “massagers.” I would suggest to buy those that can double as a massager para mas madaling i-explain to your parents if ever they see it in your room! *Wink*
So there! These are the things that you have to think about before you buy your first pleasure toy. Be proud that you’re taking control of your own pleasure! Go into a store with your chin up and don’t be scared to play with the toys! That way you’ll be able to get a feel of how they are, and choose what you think would work best for you!
