Dalawa pang lanes sa east-bound direction ng Laguna Lake Highway, na kilala rin bilang Circumferential Road 6 (C6), sa Taguig City ang binuksan na sa publiko kahapon.
Sinabi ni Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark Villar na ang huling lanes ay may haba na 3.2 kilometers mula Napindan hanggang M.L. Quezon Avenue.
Sinabi ni Villar na dahil sa proyekto, inaasahan na mababawasan ng 30 minutos ang oras ng biyahe mula Taytay, Rizal hanggang Bicutan, Taguig.
Ang 3.2 kilometer portion ay itinayo sa ilalim ng Phase I at Phase II ng P512-million Laguna Lake Highway Project.
“This newly opened highway is part of a road network that we are building to ease congestion in this particular area and provide a barrier that would prevent back flow of water coming from the Laguna de Bay going to industrial and residential areas in Metro Manila,” ayon kay Villar.
