Marian Jade Capadocia and Austrian partner Anna-Lena Neuwirth fell short in their final bid, losing to Emily Arbuthnot of Britain and Belinda Woolcock of Australia, 6-1, 6-3, in the semis of the Amstelveen championships in The Netherlands.
Despite their setback, Capadocia and her partner earned 8 points or equivalent of 2,400 local points in ITF doubles ranking.
The two advanced to the semis with a walkover win over Stephanie Mariel Petit of Argentina and Ana Sofia Sanchez of Mexico.
In the singles event, Capadocia bowed to Meritxell Perera Ros of Spain, 7-5, 6-3, in the third round.
The veteran SEA Games campaigner easily disposed off hometown bet Sopphia Grippo, 6-2, 6-0, before beating the tough Neuwirth, 6-7 (3), 7-5, 6-3.
Capadocia, who was also backed by Dunlop and coach by her farther Joe, succumbed to Meritxell Perera Ros of Spain, 7-5, 6-3, in their Round 3 encounter.
