If you are a determined Filipina who is passionate for the preservation and protection of our marine diversity and resources, empowered to take a stand on ocean justice, then you could be Miss Scuba Philippines 2017.
“Miss Scuba Philippines is a pageant which has a deep-rooted advocacy that is devoted to protect, preserve and help save our oceans and its biodiversity,” said Cindy Madduma, the first Filipina to win the title of Miss Scuba International in 2015, during the press launch of the pageant held in Pasay City recently.
Screening for the official candidates of the beauty pageant has started. The second screening was held last Sunday, Aug. 13, at Belmont Hotel Manila.
“It is distinctive from other beauty pageants because it focuses on the importance of the preservation and protection of the Philippine marine resources,” said Madduma, who was appointed new national director of Miss Scuba Philippines.
“Saving Ocean Through Beauty” is the core principle of the organization, said Madduma.
Madduma said that she took the challenge with greater responsibility of becoming an instrument of change.
