How would you like to bathe in a kawa?
Kawa bath is a hot bath topped with sambong andalagaw leaves.
It is offered at Kayak Inn, somewhere in Antique. Edwin, who attends to guests there, explained to Matanglawin TV:

In 1996, Greg Hutchinson, an Australian and former journalist, introduced the Kawa bath to the public. “I’m a kayaker and kayaking enthusiasts play on a river like this which is white-water, use a lot of energy, you get very tired, you also get very cold.”
According to New England Medicine hot bath benefits include: relaxation of muscles, relieves joint pains, good for blood pressure and lowers blood sugar.

Flord Calawag Jr., OIC Tourism Officer of Antique said, “Antique is actually known as a province where the mountains meet the sea. So we’re actually blessed from natural, cultural, historical and culinary attractions here. Antique is going to be the next adventure capital of Panay Island.”
