Motorists greet the first day of the “ber”-months with road repairs and reblocking in major roads in cities of Quezon, Pasig, and Caloocan.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said private contractors of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will undertake road reblocking and repairs starting 11 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1 until Sept. 4.
Majority of the road reblocking works is at Quezon City: along C.P. Garcia Avenue near E. Jacinto Street and between Velasquez and Alley; along V. Luna Road from East Avenue to Kalayaan Avenue; along Quirino Highway corner La Mesa Dam Road (second Lane), northbound.
Southbound portions along A. Bonifacio Avenue between Dome Street to Sgt. Rivera (second lane); along Mindanao Avenue after Tandang Sora fronting Shell, (second lane); along Edsa between Kaingin Road to Dario Bridge (third lane) are also affected.
Damaged truck lanes along E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue after Greenmeadows Avenue and along E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue after Boni Serrano flyover will also be repaired.
In Caloocan City, closed portion is along Mac Arthur Highway near Monumento Circle while in Pasig City, along Manila East Road infront of SM East Ortigas.
