GlobalPort’s Terrence Romeo and Sean Anthony and TNT KaTropa coach Nash Racela got hefty fines yesterday for a series of infractions in recent matches of the PBA Governors’ Cup.
Romeo was ordered to pay P20,000 for throwing the ball at Blackwater import Henry Walker in their game Sunday at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.
Anthony, on the other hand, meted a P15,000 penalty for wearing a wrong set of shorts in GlobalPort’s loss to Star last Sept. 13.
Racela got a combined penalty of P17,000 for issuing statements detrimental to the league, disrespectful gesture toward the referees and a technical foul for entering the court.
Other penalties include Alaska’s Calvin Abueva (P3,400 for using profane language), his coach Alex Compton (P2,000 for continuous complaining), San Miguel’s Arwind Santos (P2,600 for a second motion against Kia’s Geron Johnson) and Star coach Chito Victolero (P1,000 for entering the court).
