The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration warned of possible flooding in the low-lying areas of Bicol, Eastern Visayas, Cagayan, Isabela, and Quezon today due to a prevailing low-pressure area inside the country’s area of responsibility.
As of yesterday morning, the LPA was estimated at 525 kilometers east-southeast of Virac, Catanduanes.
The LPA could bring scattered lightning and light to moderate with occasional heavy rains, which may cause flooding over Albay, Catanduanes, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Sorsogon, Masbate, Biliran, Eastern Samar, Leyte, Northern Samar, Samar, Southern Leyte, Cagayan, Isabela, and Quezon.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies apart from isolated rain showers mostly in the afternoon or evening due to localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA said the LPA is expected to cross Luzon today and exit the landmass tomorrow.
