Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Martin Andanar said they are using surveys as guide to improve their services to the public.
Andanar said they are also taking Social Weather Stations and Pulse Asia surveys seriously regardless of the results.
“We take both surveys seriously. In fact, itong mga survey na ito ay gabay natin ito sa gobyerno para gawin lahat nang puwedeng gawin para ma-improve lahat,” he said.
The latest surveys of the Social Weather Stations and Pulse Asia had contradicting results on the public satisfaction and trust ratings of President Duterte.
SWS reported a significant dip in the President’s trust and satisfaction ratings while Pulse Asia’s survey said that Duterte is still the most trustworthy government official in the country.
The PCOO, Andanar said, is having a hard time with their social media presence in Class D and E, especially in Visayas and balanced Luzon.
“Sa Class A,B,C, wala naman tayong ganoong problema sapagka’t malakas po iyong social media platforms ng gobyerno,” he said.
Andanar said they have launched a network to boost their social media presence in the provinces.
“Sa PCOO naman, when it comes to the provinces, we launched this Provincial Communications Officer’s Network in the entire Philippines,” Andanar noted.
According to the Palace official, they have visited 12 provinces starting midyear 2017 and have been establishing one information officer in every municipality to be able to deliver Duterte’s messages. (Argyll Cyrus B. Geducos)
