An unidentified man was gunned down by an unknown suspect Wednesday morning in Tondo, Manila.
Police said the dead man was in his 30’s, clad in red sando and black short pants and died on the spot due to gunshot wounds on his chest and head.
Authorities however remain clueless regarding the identity of the suspect and the motive behind the killing.
Initial investigation showed that the incident happened in front of a Pisonet Café along San Faustino Street, Barangay 13 about 2:30 a.m.
A 40-year-old witness told probers that he was awakened after he heard a commotion outside his house.
The witness said that he heard a male voice saying, “huwag po kuya!” and the next thing he heard were sounds of gunfire, according to the police.
Police said that the witness peeped through his window and was stunned to see the lifeless body of the victim. He immediately reported the incident to the barangay officials and eventually to the Assuncion Police Community Precinct.
According to investigators, a sachet of suspected shabu was retrieved in the left hand of the victim. Two deformed fired bullets of still unknown firearm were also recovered from the crime scene.
There was no CCTV camera installed within the area while no one among the residents could give clear details about the incident.
Meantime the victim’s remains were brought to the Archangel Funeral Homes for autopsy and safekeeping.
