The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration yesterday warned of possible floods and landslides over some parts of the country as typhoon “Paolo” (international name “Lan”) and a low-pressure area are expected to bring rains until the weekend.
Paolo continues to move north-northwest away from the country but its outer cloud bands may still bring rains over the eastern section of the country.
Around 1 p.m. yesterday, the eye of the typhoon was located 930 kilometers east of Infanta, Quezon with maximum sustained winds of 120 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 145 kph.
On the other hand, the LPA was estimated at 150 kms northwest of Puerto Princesa City.
