Three days after their recent misunderstanding, a woman woke up seeing his husband’s lifeless body hanging on the beam of their house on Quezon City.
Authorities of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit identified the man as Garry Andres, 38 years old and a resident of Barangay North Fairview in Quezon City.
Prior to the incident, Andres’ wife, Maricris, told the police that they had a misunderstanding last November 1 after she refused the victim’s sexual advances.
On the night of November 3, Maricris said that her husband chose to sleep alone in a separate room while she stayed and slept with their children.
Upon waking up around 5 a.m. the following day, she checked her husband inside a room at the second floor of their house.
When Maricris entered, she was shocked to see her husband hanging on a wooden beam with a black electrical wire looped around his neck.
She immediately sough the assistance of the barangay authorities.
Maricris also disclosed that Andres had several suicide attempts especially every time when they had a misunderstanding.
Operatives also said that there were no external injuries found on the victim’s body except for a ligature mark around his neck.
The victim’s wife later on signed a waiver after refusing to allow an autopsy on her deceased husband. (Alexandria Dennise San Juan)
