Paul Lee is now excited to rejoin the Star Hotshots a month after undergoing a knee surgery as the team started its preparation for the 43rd PBA season.
Lee said he is on the final stage of leg work and therapy that focuses on strengthening both his knee and upper body.
“On track naman, baka next week maka-takbo na ako, and then maka-join na ako sa mga ensayo ng team,” said Lee yesterday. “Importante is maganda yung progress, wala naman ako nararamdaman na pain.”
Lee, the PBA Rookie of the Year in 2012, hurt his knee in Game 2 of Star’s semifinals series against Meralco in the last Governors’ Cup.
It was the same knee that has bothered Lee the past three years and had three separate Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections, a procedure that a person’s blood turn down and then separated producing a concentration of platelets above normal values.
