DA NANG, Vietnam – Two foreign lawmakers critical of President Duterte’s war against drugs may be banned from visiting the Philippines.
The President has disclosed plans to put “two senators” on the immigration list after supposedly planning to protest in case he visits the United States.
“Sabihin ko sa kanila, you are too presumptuous. What made you think that I am even planning or thinking about visiting your country?” Duterte said during a press conference after meeting the Filipino community here last Thursday night.
“I’d like to know their names also because I can include them in the immigration barred list. Totoo,” he added.
If these lawmakers were opposed to his visit to their homeland, Duterte claimed he could either ban or protest their travel to the Philippines. “You are also prohibited from entering mine or I will protest if that is the farthest that I can go,” he said.
Duterte said he would even meet the foreign lawmakers at the airport and tell them he does not like them too. “I’ll meet you in the airport. Somebody should tell me they’re coming. And I will just see you. You, son of a b*tch. You can come here because we have existing agreements. But I really do not like you also,” he said.
