Tropical storm warning signals have been lifted as tropical storm “Salome” (international name “Haikui”) crossed the West Philippine Sea and moving away from the country towards Vietnam, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration said yesterday.
As of 10 a.m. yesterday, Salome was spotted off the coast of Zambales and Bataan or 175 kilometers west of Subic, Zambales.
It has maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph and moving west-northwest at 20 kph.
Salome is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility this morning.
