Game Friday
(The Arena, San Juan City)
3 p.m. – LSGH vs Mapua (Jrs)
(Game 3, winner-take-all match)
Defending champion Mapua and title challenger La Salle-Greenhills will have ample time to prepare themselves for their winner-take-all showdown for the 93rd NCAA juniors basketball crown.
League organizers have decided to move the final match of the best-of-three series, initially scheduled today, on Friday at The Arena in San Juan City, giving the Red Robins and the Greenies more time to plot their final moves.
La Salle-Greenhills, behind prized guard Joel Cagulangan’s notable exploits, took the series opener, 74-68, last Nov. 10 but Mapua returned the favor with a 91-81 victory last Thursday, with veteran Clint Escamis leading the way.
The Greenies are expected to have hardworking big man Inand Fornillos back in their fold after he served a one-game suspension the last time out for throwing a closed fist against Red Robins star Will Gozum in Game 1.
