Mariano Suba, Jr. put on a wondrous show, scoring seven goals as reigning titlist San Beda smothered a hapless Lyceum, 10-0, to stay unbeaten in the juniors’ division of the NCAA football tournament Wednesday night at the Rizal Memorial grounds.
Suba went to work early, knocking in three of his team’s four goals in the first half goals before exploding for four more in the second half as the Red Cub booters underscored theirfirepower.
The win as San Beda’s second in as many outings.
Samuel Reuben Chavez, Christopher Villanueva and Roejen Josef Sermese accounted for the other goals of San Beda, which downed Perpetual Help, 6-0, in the opener last Monday.
Letran bested Perpetual Help, 3-0, to likewise nail its second win in a row and gain share of the lead.
